Introduction to Our Services
INTEGRATED TRANSPORTATION PLANNING
The main elements that form part of a transportation planning study include the following:
Policy review and alignment with the broader planning environment.
Literature review and research to propose the best practices and tested solutions implemented both locally and internationally.
Status quo investigations to consider the available transport systems and determine the current capacity of each, the demand / supply ratio and existing gaps in the transport system. This step often entails extensive data collection which might include traffic counts, pedestrian counts, public transport surveys, accident statistics, travel surveys, geometric data and road safety audits.
Data analysis and scenario testing (if required).
Concept and detailed proposals.
Cost estimates and funding mechanisms.
Consultation with stakeholders and interested parties.
