Koleko is a multi-disciplinary consulting firm based in South Africa with majority Black ownership (Level 1 B-BBEE score).

OUR CLIENTS INCLUDE GOVERNMENT DEPARTMENTS / AGENCIES, PARASTATALS, PROPERTY DEVELOPERS, OIL & GAS COMPANIES, MINING COMPANIES, CIVIL ENGINEERS, TOWN / URBAN PLANNERS AND ARCHITECTS.

We provide consultancy services in Traffic Engineering, Integrated Transportation Planning, Public Transport & Transportation Systems, Data Collection & Analysis, Project Management, Construction Supervision, and Town Planning.

We are a group of vibrant and experienced engineers who want to make a difference. As a principle we execute our projects thinking of the end user primarily, thereby ensuring that our engineering solutions are impactful and beneficial to communities at large. The solutions we propose also promote job creation, such as labour-based construction, and address the challenges raised in the National Development Plan (NDP) for 2030.

The team includes highly qualified professionals who have been contributing to the built environment for several years. We are committed to passing on learning experiences to young engineers, and have systems in place to ensure that graduate engineers develop into skilled professionals backed by knowledge and integrity. We believe in continuing professional development to enhance our capacity and capabilities. The upskilling of our clients, should the need be identified, forms an integral part of our way of working. We are serious about learning and sharing our knowledge, and we do so at annual conferences where we present research papers or projects authored by members of our team.

Our young and dynamic firm comprises innovative and driven professionals offering various specialist services such as Traffic Engineering, Transportation Planning, Road Safety, Town and Regional Planning, and civil works related to roads and stormwater.

African dynamism is at the heart of our designed engineering solutions which ultimately have to benefit Africa’s people by overcoming challenges imposed by natural and urban laws.

Our employees are also actively involved in various professional organisations such as the South African Institution of Civil Engineering, Engineering Council of South Africa, Transportation Research Board, Institute of Transport Engineers, South African Planning Institute and South African Council for Planners.
